Imagine a teacher in a Natrona County classroom facing a life-threatening emergency, where every second could mean the difference between life and death. In Wyoming’s rural landscape, emergency response times can stretch to 15-20 minutes—far longer than the national average. That’s why Wyoming Patriots, a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is thrilled to announce the launch of our Stop the Bleed Training and Kit Distribution sponsorship fundraising campaign. We’re calling on our community, businesses, and supporters to join us in equipping educators with the skills and tools to save lives.

A Critical Need in Our Schools

In Natrona County, the reality of delayed emergency response times, combined with Wyoming Statute §21-3-132 (passed in 2017) allowing firearms in schools, underscores the urgent need for bleeding control training and accessible medical supplies. Our initiative aims to empower teachers and school staff to act swiftly and confidently in high-stress situations, protecting students and colleagues until professional help arrives.

Our goals are clear:

  • Train Educators: Deliver hands-on Stop the Bleed training, certified by the American College of Surgeons, teaching critical techniques like tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure control.

  • Equip Classrooms: Place a Stop the Bleed kit in every teacher’s desk across Natrona County schools for immediate access to life-saving tools.

  • Build Resilience: Foster a culture of preparedness, ensuring our community is ready to respond to emergencies.

Why Your Support Matters

Severe bleeding claims over 60,000 lives annually in the U.S., and in rural areas like ours, the stakes are even higher. A similar program in Montana schools reduced preventable deaths by 20% in its first year. By sponsoring this initiative, you can help us bring this life-saving impact to Natrona County.

To launch this program, we’re seeking to raise $55,000–$92,500 to cover:

  • Stop the Bleed Kits: $37,500–$75,000 to equip classrooms.

  • Training Materials: $5,000 for hands-on learning resources.

  • Instructor Fees: $10,000 to support our team of certified volunteers, including former Navy corpsmen and EMTs.

  • Marketing and Outreach: $2,500 to spread the word and engage our community.

Be a Part of Something Bigger

By becoming a sponsor, you’re not just funding a program—you’re investing in the safety and resilience of our schools and community. Your support will:

  • Save lives by equipping educators with critical skills and tools.

  • Enhance safety with immediate access to Stop the Bleed kits in every classroom.

  • Build a legacy of preparedness that strengthens Wyoming for generations.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals, businesses, and organizations. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal of starting training sessions by August 1, 2025.
