The Wyoming plains echoed with triumph this weekend as the Compass & Courage class, held August 16-17 at The Basement Shift and our field day in Casper, crowned a new wave of leaders. Participants mastered reading topographic maps and plotting coordinates on Day 1,

then conquered the field on Day 2, setting bearings and pacing counts with precision—skills that turned uncertainty into control. This family of learners, bonded over shared challenges and a post-class barbecue, discovered a deep strength, rising above circumstance to lead their lives with pride. Their success inspires us all to take charge, and we’re building on it with the Joker Poker Shoot fundraiser on September 20—mark your calendars!
